The Content Strategy and Communications Lead develops creative content strategies that will draw the attention of customers to Company brand marketing campaigns, events and retention marketing efforts through creative writing, storytelling and engaging images.  Content Strategy and Communications Lead will proactively seek out promotional opportunities and unique stories from customers, employees and industry-driven events that will help promote the Company brand, thereby drive targeted traffic, grow customer base and generate revenue. This position is in charge of the persona, communication tone & messaging of the IT&E Brand both internally & externally.

 

Responsibilities

 

The Employee will:

  • Knows and upholds the established IT&E Mission, policies and procedures, IT&E and Department objectives, quality assurance and safety programs and standards.
  • Supervise content team, providing a work environment that focuses on both team and individual objectives and promotes task accomplishment
  • Develops and Maintains the Persona, Communication Tone & Messaging for the IT&E Brand in all platforms, internally & externally
  • Design, build and maintain the Company’s social media presence.
  • Develop and maintain a social media strategy that actively addresses listening, networking, influencing, and selling on the social web.
  • Monitor and measure the success of social media efforts. Identify, analyze and report on social media trends to internal team
  • Creates content optimized for search engines and social media traffic.
  • Monitor and respond to customer service and reputation management issues on the social web using social listening tools.
  • Establish authority on the social web through the distribution and sharing of valuable content produced internally and externally.
  • Uncovers unique and interesting stories for multiple audiences (customers, employees, or related industry news) and determines the best platform and audience to distribute.
  • Maintains a deadline-driven editorial calendar that coordinates time-sensitive articles with general-interest stories.
  • Identifies opportunities to promote specific key messages and company initiatives to customers and the general media.
  • Locates and/or initiates creation of engaging and relevant images to complement stories
  • Collaborates with the departments of corporate enterprise, marketing, customer service, IT and human resources to help define both the brand story and the story as interpreted by the customer.
  • Research customer preferences and uncover new trends
  • Develops, writes, and distributes press release articles to applicable media outlets
  • Identify authoritative and influential individuals and brands on the social web and implement a social networking strategy to facilitate and nurture strategic partnerships
  • Generate leads and sales from existing customers and prospects on the social web through the distribution of appropriate offers
  • Monitor discussions and trends as they pertain to the company, products, and brand. Identify and report trends in sentiment and give advice on potential opportunities for content and production creation.
  • Manages digital ad placements and ensuring these channels are optimized.
  • Assists the Sr. Manager in the development, management and implementation of communication plans internally and externally especially in cases of crises and change management.
  • Other tasks deemed necessary to fulfill the assigned functions

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

 

  • BA/BS degree in marketing, journalism, communications or related field, or equivalent progressive work experience
  • Three to five years of content development and communication experience in various marketing channels such as developing marketing materials, web content, video content, etc.

The physical activity of this position includes Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling, repetitive motions – making substantial movements of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers, grasping, feeling, Talking-Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, repetitive motions.

The physical requirements of this position involve light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and

analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual

inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection);

using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

About IT&E


Formerly Micronesian Telecommunications Corp, IT&E was a part of Verizon International. CITADEL acquired IT&E in 2005 after successfully navigating the US CIFUS process and the Federal Communications Commission. In 2006, a partnership was established with Sumitomo Corporation, one of Japan’s largest trading houses, which invested in the company as part of its telecommunications push. The company acquired IT&E in Guam, and together, became the largest wireless provider in Micronesia. The entire company was renamed IT&E. IT&E was the first in the region to offer 3G services with the launch of CDMA EVDO in 2009. It soon followed with the launch of 4G LTE in 2011.
