The Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist works in partnership and alignment with the Shared Services Talent Acquisition Team and is responsible for managing the process and delivering an exceptional onboarding experience for new hires for the Operating Companies in the Pacific. This role partners closely with the Shared Service Centers of Excellence, HR Business Partners, and hiring managers to attract, evaluate, and hire top talent while ensuring seamless integration of new employees into the organization. This position will drive excellence in tactical and operational delivery, recruit top diverse talent, strengthen employer branding and presence, and ensure aligned strategic talent acquisition on the ground, in the Pacific. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, independent, comfortable in public, innovative, and passionate about delivering excellent candidate and employee experiences.

 

Responsibilities

 

Talent Acquisition

  • Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess candidate fit.
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, clarify roles, and clarify job descriptions.
  • Strengthen employer branding and presence through job fairs, recruiting events, and other such events that promote talent acquisition.
  • Assist the Shared Services Talent Acquisition Team in ensuring the accuracy of candidate information, the integrity of the applicant tracking system (ATS) data, and the Pacific recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire).
  • Collaborate and align with the Shared Services Talent Acquisition Team to ensure operational excellence.


Onboarding

  • Coordinate pre-employment processes, including background checks, reference checks, and document collection.
  • Prepare and deliver offer letters and onboarding materials.
  • Facilitate orientation sessions and ensure completion of required trainings and documentation.
  • Serve as the point of contact for new hires during the onboarding process.
  • Monitor new hire engagement and proactively address onboarding challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and company requirements related to hiring and employment eligibility.
  • Ensure that the process and experience align with the Shared Services Talent Acquisition Team effort to promote “One CITADEL.”


Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Interface with the Shared Services Talent Acquisition Team and continually improve the alignment of services, process, and experience.
  • Maintain current knowledge of employment laws and best practices in recruitment and onboarding.
  • Propose and implement process improvements to enhance candidate and new hire experiences.
  • Ensure consistent application of policies, procedures, and employment standards.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • 3+ years demonstrated experience in recruiting and/or onboarding

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills


  • Experience with applicant recruitment systems preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or higher desired


Physical Demands 


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The physical activity of this position includes repetitive motions – making substantial movements of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.

The physical requirements of this position involve sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

For visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision, the worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines.


Working Conditions


This role is primarily office-based activities, with occasional travel to OpCo sites, job fairs or recruitment events. Travel to other destinations where CITADEL operates may be required. Standard work hours, with flexibility required during peak hiring periods is expected.
