The Graphic Designer, under the guidance and general supervision of the Creative and Visual Merchandising Supervisor is responsible in providing the creative abilities and technological skills to create visual and multi-media presentations used to advertise and market the Corporations products and services.  This includes providing graphics design services, including developing creative designs for advertisements, brochures, publications, displays, and other presentations.

 

Responsibilities

 

The Employee will:

  • Understand and uphold the established IT&E Mission, policies and procedures, IT&E and Department objectives, quality assurance and safety programs and standards.
  • Contribute creative ability and input to develop the visual and multi-media images used in all the product launches and product promotions for IT&E and its affiliates.
  • Maintain up-to-date familiarity with IT&E products and services to be able to design and produce visual presentations for communications media that accurately and attractively display the benefits of a product or service.
  • Collaborate regularly with the Marketing and production teams to align on messaging and creative deliverables throughout the development of advertising campaigns.
  • Assist in the planning, analyzing, developing and producing the overall layout and production design for all point of sale (POS) materials, to include print ads, sales promotion materials, marketing brochures for products and services, promotional displays, in addition to corporate reports, executive staff presentations, and other corporate publications.
  • May coordinate and participate in product and photo shoots, including staging, visual direction, and occasionally serving as on-camera talent when appropriate and voluntary.
  • Ensure that all visual and multi-media components of a marketing campaign work together to deliver the intended message to the consumer.  
  • Work with the Communications Team to determine the placement schedules for all print and media advertisement materials to coordinate with their marketing campaign.
  • Assist with coordinating with newspapers/magazines/printing companies, providing them with the advertising materials and the appropriate specifications and formats needed for compatibility with their equipment.  Monitor the correct implementation of the advertising agreements.
  • Work with the Creative Team and Marketing leads to ensure that all advertising and other corporate materials/usages maintain corporate identity standards in the appropriate usage and accurate representation of the corporate logo and other corporate brands and identifiers. 
  • May fill in for the Creative Supervisor when the Creative Supervisor is unavailable.
  • Cross-train other staff in various aspects of this position to prepare them to fill in as needed and for possible succession.
  • Assist other staff and functional areas in their areas of responsibility, as needed.
  • Perform other related duties or tasks as assigned or required.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

 

  • Associate’s Degree in Art/Fine Arts with a major in Design or Advertising or an equivalent number of years of related experience, preferred.
  • Three to five years in the field of graphic artistry in an advertising or marketing environment.


Physical Demands

The physical activity of this position includes, picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling, repetitive motions – making substantial movements of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers, grasping, feeling, Talking-Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, repetitive motions.

The physical requirements of this position involve Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.


Working Conditions


The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work).

Formerly Micronesian Telecommunications Corp, IT&E was a part of Verizon International. CITADEL acquired IT&E in 2005 after successfully navigating the US CIFUS process and the Federal Communications Commission. In 2006, a partnership was established with Sumitomo Corporation, one of Japan’s largest trading houses, which invested in the company as part of its telecommunications push. The company acquired IT&E in Guam, and together, became the largest wireless provider in Micronesia. The entire company was renamed IT&E. IT&E was the first in the region to offer 3G services with the launch of CDMA EVDO in 2009. It soon followed with the launch of 4G LTE in 2011.
